Where to begin....Made the trip from Bogota (2 hour aerovan to Tunja terminal, then you can take any yellow taxi there for 100k to reserve. My only goal here was to find the Black Inca. It does comes to the feeders from time to time but then hides in the bushes so I wouldn't bother if you want a serious photo. The owners can tell you the spots where to sit in the forest they have to see it (which they grew in 40 years!! It was nothing before!). About 10 different species can visit the feeders. About the place...it basically someone's home with a bunch of separate rooms. I stayed the night, bed was comfortable and it was peaceful. Have to wait for hot water but you are fairly remote so don't expect anything fancy. Also you are high altitude so can be a bit cold in night and day. Awatt speaks basically fluent English which was a great surprise and everyone there has such fantastic energy and are happy to help you.
